CAG report for year ended 31st March 2011 presented in Bihar

In Bihar, the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, CAG, for the year ended 31st March 2011, was today presented in the state legislature. Talking to reporters in Patna, Principal Accountant General of Bihar, Rajeev Bhusan Sinha said, altogether 1034 cases of defalcation, misappropriation and loss involving over 409 crore rupees had been detected. Mr. Sinha said, between 2002-03 to 2010-11, over 25 thousand, 331 crore rupees were drawn from treasuries but the bills for only 2755 crore have been submitted to the Accountant General. Utilization certificate of over 8467 crore rupees have not been submitted yet.
