Cabinet to discuss National Food Security Bill on Tuesday

The Cabinet will take up the National Food Security Bill for discussion and approval on Tuesday. This was stated by Food and Public Distribution Minister K V Thomas while talking to reporters outside Parliament on Monday. He said that the Bill is likely to be introduced in this session of Parliament. Mr. Thomas said that the Bill aims to cover about half of the Urban population and about two third of the rural population for the entitled food grains.

Top government sources said that Whistle Blower Bill and Judicial Accountability Bill are also likely to come up for approval in the Cabinet.
