Cabinet Secretary PK Sinha today chaired a high level meeting in New Delhi to review the preparedness for Dengue and chikungunya in the country. The meeting was attended by Committee of Secretaries of the Union Government and representatives of Delhi Government and local bodies such as New Delhi Municipal Corporation and Delhi Municipal Corporations. <br/><br/>The Cabinet Secretary asked the participants to accelerate action for prevention and management of dengue and chikungunya. Mr Sinha noted that these actions should be further facilitated by running public awareness programmes, availability of medicines and doctors, helpline facilities to the people and use of mobile clinics. <br/><br/>Mr.Sinha also asked them to put an effective monitoring system in place. He hoped that the residents will also participate by taking necessary preventive measures by maintaining cleanliness and the local bodies will carry out increased fogging in their respective areas.
