<br/>In Madhya Pradesh, the state cabinet has sanctioned 1500 new posts in police department to strengthen the law and order situation in the state. Out of these 1500 posts, 176 posts have been sanctioned for the naxalite infected areas. The state exchequer will incur the annual financial burden of 37 crore 88 lac rupees on creating these additional posts. The cabinet has also sanctioned 331 posts for strengthening field units under special branch of police department. Creation of these posts will put an additional annual burden of about seven crore rupees. The cabinet has also approved a proposal to increase the financial assistance for medical treatment to freedom fighters from 20 thousand rupees to 50 thousand rupees.
