The Union Cabinet today approved the creation of Equal Opportunity Commission (EOC) to look into the grievances of the deprived groups.

An Expert Group was set up following Sachar Committee recommendation to look into the structure, scope and functions along advice on an appropriate legislative framework.

The Cabinet also approved the setting up of a Regulator for Coal sector. It also approved the conversion of 7,200 kilometers of State Roads into National Highways.
