The Union Cabinet has given its ex-post facto approval for introduction of Constitution (123rd Amendment) Bill 2017 and National Commission for Backward Classes (Repeal) Bill, 2017 in the Parliament.<br/><br/>It also gave approval for retention of posts, incumbents and office premises held by the existing National Commission for Backward Classes by the proposed new National Commission for Backward Classes.<br/><br/>Our correspondent reports, the bills were introduced and passed in the Lok Sabha in the just concluded budget session of Parliament. However, the Rajya Sabha referred the bills to the Select Committee of the House for further scrutiny.
