The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure on Wednesday approved the project of Developing a Dry Bulk Terminal off Tekra near Tuna at an estimated cost of 1060 crore rupees. It will be developed on a build-operate-transfer BOT basis at Kandla Port Trust (KPT).The project envisages construction, operation and maintenance of an off-shore berthing structure with four berthing faces. The capacity of the project is over 14 Million Tonnes per annum for catering to four vessels at a time namely two vessels at a time. The project is to be implemented within 24 months from the date of award of concession.
