The cabinet committee on economic affairs today approved the proposal for initiation of second phase of technical education, quality improvement programme. Briefing reporters after the CCEA meeting, Home minister Mr P Chidambaram said that the project will involve an expenditure of over two thousand four hundred crore rupees. <br/><br/>In yet another decision, the CCEA approved proposal of Japan International Cooperation Agency assisted Ganga Action Plan phase two at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. It also approved implementation existing national micro irrigation schemes as national mission with an outlay of over eight thousand crores.
