Cabinet approves seniority-based flying allowances to pilots and cabin crew of Air India

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved a proposal for payment of flying allowance to pilots and cabin crew of Air India at different rates as per their seniority. The payment will be in addition to pay and allowances admissible under Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) Guidelines as recommended by Dharmadhikari Committee.The aircraft maintenance engineers and technical officers will get a special allowance depending upon their grade, seniority and level of qualification. The CCEA also approved the rate of layover allowance in accordance with Government of India Rules for daily allowance.
