<br/>The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure approved the project of Development of Fourth Container Terminal at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis at an estimated cost of 6696.00 crore rupees. Briefing reporters in New Delhi on Thursday, urban development minister Mr Jaipal Reddy said the facility will have the capacity to handle more than 4.8 million Twenty Feet Equivalent Units (TEUs) per annum. He said the project is to be implemented in two phases. Mr Reddy said the Phase-I will be completed and commissioned within a period of 3 years from the date of signing of the Concession Agreement and the Phase-II will be implemented in two years.
