Union Cabinet today gave its ex-post facto approval for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Palestine on cooperation in the field of Health and Medicine. <br/><br/>The MoU was signed on 16th of May this year. It will cover capacity building of health staff,prevention and control of communicable diseases,physiotherapy and rehabilitation and drugs, pharmaceuticals and medical equipments. <br/><br/>The Cabinet also gave its ex-post facto approval for signing a Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) between India and Germany on cooperation in the field of Health. The JDI was signed on 1st of June this year. <br/><br/>It will cover postgraduate education, training of medical personnel, pharmaceuticals and pharmacoeconomics and health economics.<br/><br/>The Cabinet also gave its approval for the Joint Interpretative Notes (JIN) on the agreement between India and Bangladesh for the promotion and protection of investments.The JIN would impart clarity to the interpretation of the existing agreement between two countries for the Promotion and Protection of Investments (BIPA). <br/><br/>The JIN includes interpretative notes to be jointly adopted for many clauses. It , includes the definition of investor and investment, exclusion of taxation measures, Fair and Equitable Treatment, Most Favoured Nation and essential security interests and settlement of disputes between an Investor-and a contracting party.<br/><br/>The Cabinet was apprised of the MoU between India and Palestine on Cooperation in the field of Information Technology and Electronics.<br/><br/>The MoU intends to promote closer co-operation in the areas of e-Governance, m-Governance, e-Public Services Delivery, cyber security, software technology parks and start-ups ecosystem.
