Cabinet approves introduction of Bill on right of children on free & compulsory Education

The Cabinet has given its approval for the introduction of a Bill to amend the right of children to free and compulsory education Act. This is to address the concern of the children with disabilities as well as the minority institutions. With the changes in the present law, Children with disabilities like Autism Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities will have special rights to pursue free and compulsory elementary education. The school management committee constituted under the law by aided minority institutions will perform advisory functions. <br/><br/> <br/><br/><br/>
