Union Cabinet has approved the implementation strategy for phase one and two of Bharat Net project. The project aims at providing broadband connectivity to over 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats by the end of 2018. The ambitious digital connectivity project is unique in many of its dimensions and will provide reliable and quality broadband connectivity to rural areas.
