The Union Cabinet has approved cadre restructuring for the group A executive officers of the Border Security Force (BSF). <br/><br/>An official release said, 74 posts of various ranks from Assistant Commandant to Additional DG ranks will be created. <br/>It will enhance the operational and administrative capabilities of BSF. <br/><br/>The restructuring will lead to the creation of a maximum of 370 posts in the ranks of Deputy Inspector General,Commandant and Second-in-Command, 19 in Inspector General, 14 in Assistant Commandant and one post in the Additional DG rank while 330 posts of Deputy Commandant will be abolished.<br/><br/>Cadre restructuring is conducted in an organisation to better place the workforce in keeping with the changing scenario over a period of time and is aimed at enhancing the morale of the men and women employees.
