The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ms. Sangita Gairola as secretary ministry of culture. Ms. Gairola is Rajasthan cadre 1977 batch IAS officer. She is presently Special Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
