Cabinet today approved an amendment in the Hindu Marriage Act 1955. Briefing reporters after the cabinet meeting the Minister for information and broadcasting Minister Mrs. Ambika Soni said that this amendment provides for divorce of a couple in case of irretrievable differences. <br/><br/>This will have to be carried out with mutual consent and will help reduce the harassment. <br/><br/>Several other decisions were taken by the cabinet which include Setting up of an green field international air port at Mopa in Goa , Increasing the age of nursing faculty from 60 to 65 and revised aid for construction of Salma Dam project phase one in Afghanistan.
