In Rajasthan, three out of four results have been delcared. Congress won two and BJP won in one seat. In Surajgarh, Congress candidate Shravan Kumar defeated Dr.Digambar Singh of BJP with a margin of 3270 votes and in Weir Congress Candidate Bhajanlal defeated his nearest rival of BJP Gangaram Koli with a margin of 25,108 votes. In Nasirabad, the counting is completed but the result is not declared. In this constituency, Ramnarayan Gurjar of Congress is leading with his nearest rival of BJP Sariga Gena with a margin of 386 votes. In Kota South assembly seat, BJP candidate Sandip Sharma defeated his nearest rival of Congress candidate Shivkant Nandwana with a margin of more than 25,000 votes.
In Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party is ahead in most of the seats. Its Lok Sabha candidate from Mainpuri is leading over his nearest BJP rival by over a lakh votes. The party is also maintaining a continuous lead on seven Vidhan Sabha seats. While BJP is leading in Lucknow East, Noida and Saharanpur seats by thin margins, on Charkhari Vidhan Sabha seat, SP candidate is leading and Congress candidate is trailing.
In Gujarat, BJP candidate Ranjanben Bhatt has won from Vadodara Lok Sabha seat defeating Congress candidate Narendra Rawat by a huge margin . Vododara Lok Sabha seat was vacated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to retain Varanasi. Out of 9 Assembly seats that went to polls in Gujarat, BJP is leading at 7 seats, while Congress is leading at 2 seat.
Tangirala Soumya of Telugu Desam Party has won the by-elections for Nandigama (SC) Assembly seat in Andhra Pradesh. She secured 99,748 votes against her nearest rival and Congress Party candidate Bodapati Baburao who got 24,921 votes mustering a majority of 74,827 votes at the end of 15 rounds of counting. Two other independent candidates K. Pullaiah got 941 votes while M. Pulla Rao secured 647 votes, while NOTA had 1,177 votes.
In West Bengal, ruling Trinamool Congress candidate Dependu Biswas is leading at Basirhat South assembly by-poll. According to available trend, Mr.Biswas is ahead of over 7,000 votes from his nearest BJP rival Shamik Bhattarcharjee after eight round of counting of votes. Another Trinamool Congress candidate Nayana Bandopadhya is also leading in Chowringhee assembly seat over his nearest BJP rival Mr.Ritish Tiwari by 3000 votes after 10th rounds of counting of votes.
In Assam,counting is on for 3 assembly constituency amidst tight security.Bypoll was held at Lakhipur,Silchar and Jamunamuk constituencies.AIUDF is leading at Jamunamukh after third round of counting.AIUDF is also leading at Silchar in first round In Andhra Pradesh ,TDP candidate T Somiya is leading by over 11000 votes in Nandigema seat over his nearest rival Congress candidate B Baburam.
