In Tamil Nadu, the bypoll for Pudukottai Assembly will be held on Tuesday. The polling will start at 8 AM and end at 5 PM. Twenty candidates including Karthik Thondaiman of ruling AIADMK, Jahir Hussain of DMDK are in the fray.Tamil Nadu Chief electoral officer Praveen Kumar told AIR that all arrangements have been made for free and fair poll on Tuesday.He said that 22 4 polling booths have been arranged for the benefit of one lakh 94 thousand nine hundred eighty voters.Of these 37 polling booths have been identified as sensitive and security has been tightened.For polling work, one thousand 95 booth officials have been deployed according to Pudukottai Collector and returning officer.The counting of votes will be held on June 15 at Pudukottai Government Women’s College.
