The bye-elections will be held for 10 Assembly constituencies of Andhra Pradesh on 27th of next month. The Election Commission of India has today issued bye-election schedule to this affect. <br/><br/>Twelve Assembly constituencies fall vacant following resignations by all the 10 members of Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) and one each from BJP and Telugu Desam Party to mount pressure on the Government for according statehood for Telangana immediately. <br/><br/>Out of these 12, the election commission has decided to hold bye-election to only 10 segments due to pending election petitions in respect to two constituencies. <br/><br/>These segments included Sirpur, Chennur (SC), Mancherial, Yellareddy, Nizamabad (Urban), Koratla, Dharmapuri (SC), Huzurabad, Siddipet and Warangal West.<br/><br/>According to the schedule released by the Commission, the notification would be issued on 2nd July while last date for filing nominations would be 9th of next month. Counting will be held on 30th of July and the model code of conduct has come into affect immediately in district where bye election will be held.
