The bye-election for the Purnea assembly seat in Bihar will be held on the 25th of this month. The Election Commission today issued notification to this effect. AIR Patna correspondent reports that the by-election was necessitated following the murder of BJP MLA Raj Kishore Keshari. The last date of filing of nomination paper is 8th June and scrutiny of nomination papers will take place the next day. Candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till June 11. The counting of votes is on June 29.
