<span style="color: #222222;">All capital cities of the North East will be connected through rail network by 2022. Participating in an AIR talk show tonight, Chief Public Relation Officer of the N F Railways Pranab Jyoti Sarma said that works are being carried out in this direction to achieve the goal while several cities have already been connected. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also said that the survey work to connect the religious town Barpeta through rail line will be completed in the next 3 months. Mr. Sarma said that the first electric train in Guwahati is likely to be run in 2020 as the steps are being taken for railway electrification. He also said that the opening of the Bogibeel road cum rail bridge reduced the distance of freight train to 170 kilometers. </span><br />'' <br />
