In Badminton  Indian shuttlers  MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila have made their way to pre-quarterfinals beating Danish pair of K Astrup – A Rasmussen 21-17, 21-16  today in the BWF Championships at Tokyo.

Lakshya Sen beat Luís Enrique Peñalver 21-17,21-10 in the men's singles event. HS Prannoy  defeated Japanese Kento Momota by 21-17, 21-16.
 
Meanwhile, S Kidambi lost to JP Zhao in the men's single event and Gayatri Gopinath and Treesa Jolly were defeated by  M Thinaah and P Tan in the women's doubles.

Pooja Dandu-Sanjana Santosh duo lost to Lee-Shin , while  Ashwini Ponnappa -N Sikki Reddy were defeated by  Q C Chen -Y F Jia in the women's doubles event.
