In Sri Lanka, as part of dairy revitalization project in the Eastern Province, the U.S. Ambassador, Patricia A. Butenis, officially opened a new ice cream plant in Batticaloa District. The newly launched plant hopes to increase the incomes of 4,000 dairy farmers in the region and create new jobs in the former conflict-affected area.<br/>
