In China, 41 people have been killed in a fire in an overcrowded bus in central Henan Province. The 35-seater double-decker coach was carrying 47 people, and appears to have been carrying hazardous goods. Five persons and the driver were dragged out alive, but all the remaining passengers died in the inferno. According to Chinese media reports, the cause of the fire is still being investigated, but the blaze may have taken place due to inflammable materials carried in the underside luggage compartment.
