In Andhra Pradesh, at least eight children were killed when a school bus fell into a pond at Tungaaram village near Sujathnagar in Khammam district of the state. More children are feared to have drowned and the search operations are underway. District police officials said, eight bodies were fished out with the help of local villagers. The exact number of children present in the bus at the time of accident, is yet to be known as the driver escaped immediately after the accident. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has expressed shock over the incident and directed the district authorities to send a detailed report.
