In Andhra Pradesh, 8 children were killed and 22 injured, one of them seriously, when their school bus fell into a rivulet in Khammam district. The bus, being operated by a private school, was carrying 30 students when it fell in the rivulet at Tungaram Vagu in Chandrugonda mandal on Tuesday. Police said, the condition of one of the injured is stated to be serious and he has been shifted to a hospital in Khammam for better treatment.An ex-gratia of 50 thousand rupees will be given to the families of deceased children and 25 thousand rupees to the kids who were hurt. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has asked the collector to inquire into the incident and submit a detailed report.
