In Jammu and Kashmir, 15 Amarnath pilgrims were killed while 17 others injured when a bus on its way from Srinagar to Jammu rolled down into a deep gorge in Ramban District last night. The accident occurred on Jammu Srinagar National Highway near Digdoll around 1100 hrs. Ten persons killed on spot four others succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital while one another died at hospital in wee hours today.

The rescue operation was carried out and injured were rushed to District Hospital Ramban. However, owing to their serious condition the injured were brought to Government Medical College Jammu Hospital. The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical.
