The world’s tallest man-made structure in the world, Burj Dubai officially opens in Dubai late this evening with pomp and splendour. It will be inaugurated by Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum at a ceremony. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the occasion which include 1,000 police, members of the bomb squad and specially trained commandos.Talking to reporters at the 124th floor of the Burj Dubai, the chairman of Emaar, which made the structure, Mohamed Ali Alabbar announced that economy is resilient and this is the right time to open the structure.The height of the structure is over 800 meters with 164 storeys. The building has 164 storeys with an observation deck on 124th floor. The company, which has built this tower, has put the estimated cost of the structure, 4.1 billion dollars. The opening ceremony coincides with the fourth anniversary date of Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum's accession as ruler of Dubai, one of the Emirates of United Arab Emirates.
