In Assam, the interrogation of terrorist Sahanur Alom is on in Guwahati by security officials. Police sources said that this wanted terrorist and one of the masterminds of Burdwan blast was picked up by the Special Operation Unit of the Assam police from Larkuchi village in Nalbari district. He is likely to be produced before court this evening. The NIA was announced 5 lakh rupees on providing whereabouts about Sahanur Alom.

Security agencies said, Sahanur is the chief of the Assam module of banned outfit Jaamat Ul Mujahidin, Bangladesh. His wife Sujina Begum, who is in jail now, had obtained anti-national training and trying to lure village women. Meanwhile, the people of Satala village in Barpeta district are breathing a sigh of relief following the arrest of Sahanur.

Our Correspondent reports that the NIA has raided the residence of Sahanur at Satala village and police even arrested his relatives for their alleged involvement in anti-national activities. Villagers hoped that with the arrest of Sahanur, all the anti-national activities will come to an end in Assam. Earlier, his family members also asked Sahanur to surrender .People of Larkuchi also thanked the NIA and police for acted swiftly against the anti-national forces. Assam Police Director General will address the media this afternoon on this issue.
