A building collapse in the Bhiwandi area of Thane district near Mumbai on Tuesday evening has claimed the lives of at least six people and injured seventeen.Thane Municipal Corporation Commissioner Achut Hange has said that the building was constructed in 2007 and the builder identified as Jagdish Pandu Lakshman was given permission to construct ground plus one structure but the builders illegally added two more floors. The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
