The Chief Minister of Punjab, Prakash Singh Badal has announced a sum of two lakh rupees for the next of kin of the deceased in the building collapse in Jalandhar. 65,000 rupees will be given to the seriously injured and those with minor injuries, will get 45,000 rupees. Mr. Badal also announced free treatment to all the rescued persons. The Chief Minister is personally monitoring the situation and the Divisional Commissioner, Jalandhar, has been entrusted to conduct the inquiry in the episode.
