Budget Session of Parliament resumes after recess tomorrow. Finance Bill, the passage of Women's Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha will hog the limelight of this part of the session. The rising prices of food articles is likely to figure prominently with both NDA and non NDA and non UPA parties deciding to bring cut motions to the Finance Bill to pressurise the government to roll back the hike in petroleum prices. The nuclear liability Bill is likely to be introduced in this session with government making it clear that it is open for suggestions during the debate in both the Houses. The Atomic Energy Commission Chairman and National Security Advisor briefed prominent MPs of all the three formations on the importance of the Bill. The passage of the Bill will pave the way for having nuclear commerce for producing energy. The Nuclear Liability Bill was slated to be introduced in the first part of the session but the government decided at the last moment to defer it keeping in view of stiff opposition to the Bill from the BJP and Left Parties.
