The budget Session of Nagaland Legislative Assembly began today. Governor PB Acharya in his opening address of the Five day-long sessions said Government stands firm on the foundation of good governance and transparency and development and economic growth.<br />'' <br />''Mr Acharya said the government has appointed Lolayukta for the state with a focus on transparency and good governance. He said it will go a long way in tackling corruption and ensuring fair play and justice.<br />'' <br />''The Governor said the state government has taken significant steps in strengthening the law enforcement mechanism in the state. He said all districts in Nagaland have women police stations and this has ensured that the state remains one of the safest states for women in the country.<br />'' <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Governor expressed hope that all members of the house will be able to work together in the best interest of the state and the people. The House was adjourned for the day by making obituary references and moving the motion of thanks on the Governor's address.</span><br />
