Assam Governor J B Patnaik has summoned the Budget Session of the State Legislative Assembly from 11th of the next month. The Session is likely to continue for ten days. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who is also holding the Finance portfolio, will present the full Budget of the State for the year 2011-12 on the opening day of the Session. The Assembly earlier passed Vote-On-Account for the first four months of the current financial year due to Assembly polls in the State.
