The Budget Session of the Assam Assembly ended today after the house was adjourned sine-die. The Assembly passed the Budget for the year 2012-2013, amounting to over 43,443 crore 57 lakh rupees. It passed as many as 11 important Bills relating to development of education, health and administrative reforms. Besides, the Assembly discussed several burning issues including flood and erosion problems, rehabilitation of militants who laid down arms and peace negotiations with the ultra organizations.
