The Budget session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislature began in Jammu today with the traditional address of Governor Mr. N.N. Vohra. Four members of opposition Bhartiya Janta Party wearing black gowns tried to disrupt the Governor’s address and raised slogans against the State Government alleging discrimination with Jammu region. The BJP members submitted a memorandum to the Governor and boycotted his address.AIR correspondent reports, the 37 day budget session will have in all 26 sittings. The state government will present its budget for the financial year 2012-13 on the 5th March, 2012. Several crucial bills will be presented by the state government during the session. The session is likely to be stormy. The main opposition party Peoples Democratic party, Bhartiya Janta Party and Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party will leave no stone unturned to put the state government in the dock over the issues like alleged corruption, discrimination with Jammu region, delimitation of assembly constituencies and new recruitment policy.
