The National Capital Region Planning Board has approved 2700 crore rupees budget for 2009-10 to 2010-11. Addressing the media after the board meeting in New Delhi today, the Urban Development Minister Mr. Jaipal Reddy said the main focus is on improving Road and Rail connectivity in the region. He said Board has also decided to raise 8000 crore rupees from World Bank and domestic capital market. Mr.Reddy added that three more towns Ambala, Kanpur and Deharadun have been included in the list of important cities in the area.
