Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep disappointment over Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee not declaring any relief package for the unseasonable rain-hit farmers of Odisha.In his reaction to the Union Budget 2011-12 at Bhubaneswar, Patnaik said, Odisha farmers have suffered huge loss due to the untimely rain during December 2010. The budget has also not offered any special outlay for less developed states like Odisha. He also said it is silent on addressing the rising unemployment problem and the number of measured declared in the budget is too little and will have hardly any significant impact. The Odisha Chief Minister, however, welcomed the increase in honorarium for the anganwadi workers and helpers. He said the budget has failed to address the core concerns of the common people.
