Buddha’s messages relevant for establishing peace in Nepal: Ram Baran

President of Nepal, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has said that, Lord Buddha’s messages are relevant for establishing peace and drafting the framework of a democratic constitution in Nepal. Inaugurating a three day International Conference on Buddhism, Traditional Practices and Pluralistic Practices in Kathmandu, today Dr. Yadav said the main spirit of the Buddhism is peace, development and establishment of a fearless society. He added that the, messages of non- violence, goodwill, peace is relevant to Nepal and the world. Highlighting the close ties between the two neighbouring countries , Dr. Yadav said Buddha was born in Nepal and attained enlighment in India.The Ambassador of India to Nepal,Mr Rakesh Sood said the Conference illustrates the common cultural and spiritual legacies between India and Nepal. The three day Conference has been organized by Indian Council for Cultural relations , New Delhi in collaboration with Tribhuvan University and Embassy of India. Buddhist monks, scholars and researchers from Nepal, India, Bhutan, Thailand, South Korea, Myanmar, Japan, Sri Lanka are participating in the conference.
