The Karnataka IT-BT Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu and his Corporator son Katta Jagadish resigned today after an FIR was issued against them by Karnataka Lokayuktha on charges of cheating, conspiracy and fabrication of documents in a land deal. The Chief Minsiter accepted their resignation and forwarded it to the Governor. The FIR charges that Katta Subramanya Naidu and his son Katta Jagadish received 87 crore rupees as bribe from the promoters and deposited the same in a benami company. The Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly and Congress leader Siddaramaiah has demanded immediate arrest of the accused. He said, Congress will blow lid over many more land scams involving Katta Subramanya Naidu.
