In Uttar Pradesh, ruling Bahujan Samaj Party has suspended its sitting MLA Dashrath Prasad Chauhan from the party for his alleged involvement in anti-party activities. A party spokesperson told AIR Lucknow correspondent that party has received several complaints against Mr. Chauhan, elected from Haisar Bazar constituency of Sant Kabir Nagar district. He has been suspended by the party Chief, Mayawati for ignoring problems of the common people of his constituency. AIR correspondent reports, recently BSP had suspended former Animal Husbandry Minister Awadhpal Singh Yadav following his writ petition to the Allahabad High Court. In the petition, Yadav had indicted Chief Minister Mayawati of pressurising him to resign from the government. He had also challenged the Lokayukta's power and jurisdiction to investigate into the allegations levelled against him. Couple of days earlier party had expelled two its former MPs including Anand Singh and Kirti Vardhan Singh for their alleged anti party activities. Later they had joined Samjwadi Party.
