The Bahujan Samaj Party MLA Purushottam Nath Divedi whose name figured in a rape case has suspended from the party till the inquiry. A CB-CID investigation has been ordered into the allegation against the MLA.Meanwhile Opposition parties Congress, Samajwadi Party and BJP have said that the action taken by BSP Chief Mayawati is aimed at shielding the MLA.
