In Uttar Pradesh, the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party has suspended its former Member of Parliament, Balkrishna Chauhan, for indulging in anti-party activities. A party spokesman told our Correspondent that there were reports of Chauhan's dealing with other parties. Chauhan had won election as a BSP nominee from Ghosi constituency in 2004 but was denied ticket in the 2009 Lok Sabha election.AIR Correspondent reports that BSP has suspended or expelled more than half a dozen MPs and MLAs from the party in the recent past.
