BSP Supremo Mayawati to organise dharna against opposition parties

Uttar Pradesh the Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati announced today that her party would organise Dharna and demonstration at all district on 25th of this month against opposition parties.<br/><br/>Addressing meeting of senior party leaders including MPs, MLAs and state government ministers at party head quarter at Lucknow she alleged that opposition parties were conspired to fail the rally of her party which was held on 15th of this month at Lucknow.<br/><br/>She alleged that frustrated with success of rally they now trying to divert the attention of masses by making unreasonable and unwanted statements on money garland. She asked her party leaders for lodging strong protest against utterances of opposition.<br/><br/>AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that she was offered another money garland in the meeting. National general secretary of the party and state government PWD minister Naseemuddin Siddiuqi announced in the meeting that there is strong resentment among party cadre for unreasonable and unwanted opposition’s criticism and they have collected 18 Lakhs from all 18 divisions of the state for today’s garland. He said that party has decided to offer only money garlands to the party president Mayawati whenever she visits any where in the state. <br/><br/>Undeterred by the criticism over a money garland of opposition leaders he tried to convince his party colleagues, in the presence of chief minister Mayawati, that what ever his party has done in the rally was a correct step.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that controversy of money garland was main agenda for the meeting. In this meeting most of the senior leaders from the state are present. They raised slogans in the favour of party supremo Mayawati on her arrival at the venue.<br/><br/>Meanwhile after second cash garland episode the Income Tax department has sped up its investigation to serve notice to the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party. According to sources, an Additional Joint Director ranked officer has been entrusted to investigate the matter and conduct a survey. Income Department officials have acquired video footage of rally.<br/><br/>Major opposition parties of the state including Samajwadi Party, Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party, have criticised the act of state Chief Minister Mayawati for receiving second money garland of currency notes.<br/><br/>They have demanded a detail CBI inquiry into the incident. They have also said that state governor should take cognisance of these incidents and send reports to the central government.<br/>
