Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today met Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh at his residence over lunch. Speaking to reporters after the meeting Ms Mayawati called it a routine meeting.

Replying to a query about the agenda of the meeting, she said her meeting with Prime Minister should not be seen in the context of coming Parliamentary session. Ms. Mayawati said they are supporting the government from outside and such meetings keep on happening.
AIR correspondent reports, Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav had already held such a meeting with the Prime Minister on Friday evening.
