In Uttrakhand, all the three newly elected BSP MLAs have handed over their letter of support for the Congress-led government to the Governor, Ms. Margaret Alva, at Raj Bhavan in Dehradun today. According to Raj Bhavan release, Shri Sarwat Karim Ansari, Shri Haridas and Shri Surendra Rakesh led by state Party President Suraj Mal and state in-charge, Meghraj, met the Governor and said that they had decided to give their support to the Congress for forming the government in the interest of the state. AIR Correspondent reports, with the BSP giving support, Congress will now have support of 39 MLAs in the 70-member House, having its own strength of 32. Three independents and one legislator of the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal-P have already submitted their letters of support to the Governor.
