In Uttar Pradesh, ruling BSP MLA Purushottam Naresh Dwivedi has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody by Chief Judicial Magistrate of Banda. He has been accused of raping a minor girl in Banda district. He had surrendered yesterday. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that Dwivedi was produced before the CJM at her residence. The CJM has also sent MLA's two associates to jail who was arrested on Wednesday in the connection with the rape case.
