BSP MLA Anand Sen Yadav convicted in Shashi murder case

In Uttar Pradesh, a lower court in Faizabad convicted today former BSP government minister MLA Anand Sen Yadav and his two associates in Shashi kidnapping and murder case.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that Shahsi a law graduate student from Faizabad had disappeared on October 23 in the year of 2007. Her father Yogendra Prasad had blamed Anandsen for the murder, who was then a minister in the Mayawati government. Anand sen was arrested in the month of June 2008 for allegedly kidnapping her. Later, a case of murder was registered after recovery of dead body of Shashi from Sultanpur district. Police had lodged charge sheet against three persons including Anand Sen, his driver Vijay Sen Yadav and Seema Azad. Seema was on bail. The court has also slapped 10 000 rupees fine against all of them. Our correspondent reports, the total number of of MLA's booked and convicted for murder during BSP regime has risen to four. Three other MLAs have met a similar fate in the recent past.
