BSP members force repeated adjournments of Rajya Sabha

BSP members forced repeated adjournments of the Rajya Sabha today demanding action against Union Minister V K Singh for his reported remarks against Scheduled Castes. The House witnessed three adjournments in the pre-lunch session. Now the House will meet at 2.30 PM to take up Private Members' Business.<br/><br/>As soon as the House met in the morning, BSP members trooped into the well in support of their demand. At the same time, Samajwadi Party members also walked upto the well of the House to register their protest against RSS Chief Mohan Bhagawat's remarks on the construction of a Ram temple. <br/><br/>Raising the issue, Ram Gopal Yadav of the Samajwadi Party said the RSS Chief's remarks will divide the country. At one point of time, some Congress members also came to the well in support of Samajwadi Party's demand. Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad asked the government to remove Mr Singh from the Union Council of Ministers. <br/><br/>Responding to this, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhar Abbas Naqvi said that the Minister had clarified a number of times in this regard. He accused the BSP of playing politics.
