BSP leaders' son accused for firing in South Delhi bar surrenders

The son of a BSP leader from Uttar Pradesh, who allegedly opened fire in a South Delhi bar over a minor altercation with the staff, surrendered to police last evening.<br/> <br/>Police said that Vikas Singh, son of BSP leader Chandraveer Singh, surrendered around 7.30 pm after which he was arrested. Additional DCP Virender Singh said he was accompanied by his father Chandraveer to the police station.<br/> <br/>Preliminary inquiry revealed that Vikas' wife and sister had first gone to the bar asking for their purse which was lost before when they were dining there.and the staff told them that they could not trace it.<br/> <br/>After this, Vikas went in with them and had an<br/>altercation with the manager and a scuffle with the guard following which he fired from his pistol. police said that the bullet hit a wooden board inside the bar. Later he fled the spot.<br/> <br/>However, Chandraveer told reporters that though his son was present at the resto-bar, he had not opened fire.<br/><br/>
